Concept Note

This kinetic sculpture conveys the tangible and intangible aspects that surrounds two individuals and the shared emotional impact they experience, seen through the perspective of one. For this sculpture, three key elements are explored: Roads representing tangibility, Attention representing intangibility, and Affection symbolizing emotion.

And a story of a rider embarking on a journey through various roads and experiences, ultimately upon reaching his destination, restarting his journey carrying forward the memories.

Roads : As in different aspects of a journey.

Attention : The thoughts we choose to remember or visualize.

Affection : The emotions that are generated by those thoughts.

The journey from a starting point to a definite end.

Starting with preconceived thoughts and plans, then submission to the subconscious thoughts (with less conscious thoughts) and to the end excitement and joy of reaching a goal and plan for the upcoming events.

Story

Story starts with

URGE

The traveler gets the urge to go to a definite place. And looks to gather more information about the place (History, culture, Economy, stay etc)

ACTION

He starts the journey on the road with his bike with wind in his hair and noises of traffic.

ALIGNMENT

He navigates his way through the traffic and reaches the highway with broader roads and straighter lanes.

AUTOPILOT

He goes into autopilot mode. His subconscious takes over the decision making process.

REVERIE

He sees the elements of the road and all are submitted in his memory.

INTRODUCTION

Co traveler joins (with different speed and characteristic)

COMPANIONSHIP

He shares journey/moments with co-traveller.

EASE

Slow down for a bit.

SEPARATION

Turn comes, they both depart in their own ways.

REMINISCENCE

Travels on his own with the memories.

EXHILARATION

Get excited with reaching the goal and plan for the next steps.

ACHIEVEMENT

Goal reached.

RECOLLECTION

Takes a pause to remember the whole journey.

REALIZATION

Realizes the journey was more important than the goal, makes choices.

RESTART

Goes on with the journey with memories.
